Collection: Prep & Texture

Great hair is built before you style it. This is the prep shelf: tonics and sprays that set up volume and protect against heat, plus the texture products that finish the job. Eight ways to give your hair something to hold onto. Part of our men's hair styling products.

Why Prep Before You Style?

Most men skip straight to the pomade and wonder why the style drops by noon. A pre-styler goes into damp hair and does the structural work: it gives the blow dryer something to shape, adds body at the root, and shields the hair from heat. By the time you reach for a pomade, the volume is already there — you're just holding it in place instead of trying to create it.

The Prep Layer

Grooming Tonic is our strongest-holding tonic and the daily essential. Water-based, low shine, vegan, with the T-4 tonic blend of witch hazel, nettle leaf, horsetail root and rosemary. Suits all hair types and frequent use.

Spray Grooming Tonic is the same idea in a pump bottle — easier to distribute through finer hair, and the one behind a proper pompadour. Light hold, low shine, heat protection.

Hair Tonic is the classic barbershop tonic. Oil-free, light hold, fresh scent. Use it as a cutting lotion on wet hair or to degrease and restyle in seconds.

Surf Tonic Salt Spray brings out your natural wave pattern before you dry. Sea salt and magnesium salt for a windswept, matte finish with no weight.

The Texture Layer

Matte Texture Powder is the fastest route to root volume. Weightless, non-sticky, and you can keep adding through the day as the style drops.

Grooming Tonic Texture Foam works through damp hair for airy fullness with built-in heat protection. Best on finer hair that needs lift more than grip.

Surf Texture and Definition Cream is the fragrance-free option. Light texture and hold, fully matte, and it layers with almost anything.

Reset Without Washing

FLASHDRY Dry Shampoo is the day-two fix. A liquid formula that turns to powder on contact, absorbing oil and buildup while adding volume back at the root. No water, no rinse — and it doubles as a prep step, since clean roots hold a style better than tired ones.

A Routine That Works

Towel-dry, work a tonic through from the roots, then blow dry into shape. Add Texture Powder at the roots once the hair is dry, and finish with whatever hold you need on top. Next morning, hit it with FLASHDRY and restyle. That's the whole thing — the prep does most of the work and your styling product does less.

Where to Next

Once the base is built, pick your finish: the matte finish range for no shine at all, the Fiber Line Up for firm but pliable hold, or the full pomade range when you want shine and structure. Everything sprayable sits in styling sprays.
